Spring Season Postponed Indefinitely
We are excited that we have the most registrations for Spring basketball to date but at Youth Stars, our top priority is the health and well-being of our athletes, teams and communities. In light of the most recent COVID-19 information available, we have taken the precautionary measure to temporarily suspend the start of our Spring season indefinitely until we have a better outlook on our ability to hold our season safely and effectively.
In addition, we plan to refund all our registrations today in case families need to use those extra funds.
Once we are green lighted to proceed, we will re-open registration. Thank you for all your support. #together #morethanbasketball #
Our 2020 Spring registration is now OPEN!!!
This Spring, we will continue to focus on skills training as well as team play.
Spring training will now incorporate injury prevention, flexibility along with skills and conditioning. As our program grows and with most of our kids being multi-sport athletes, we want to reinforce proper balance on and off the court.
For those making a team, we plan on playing in 3 to 4 tournaments (12 games). We are aware that most athletes will be participating in their spring sports such as softball, baseball, track, lacrosse, soccer and tennis. We encourage our athletes to play in season sports and will be flexible with these commitments.
For our high school athletes, we will ensure our coaching staff and players are compliant to OSAA rules for off-season play.
Our commitment is to develop strong student-athletes that are positive influences in the community. It requires everyone involved to buy into our program. We put the same amount of effort into all our athletes to develop them regardless of their current abilities. If you will be disappointed or disgruntled that your athlete makes a "2nd" or "Silver" team, please do not try out.
