McNary High School Head Varsity Coach, Ryan Kirch and North Salem's Head Varsity Coach Cameron McCormick have joined Youth Stars this Spring to help put on cost-free training clinics for our young athletes along with stressing to them the importance of improving life skills outside of just basketball.
McNary has led the state in GPA the past four seasons and all 23 graduating seniors, during Coach Kirch’s time at McNary, have enrolled in college following graduation. Coach Kirch believes in a culture of playing tough, unselfish basketball and competing at the highest level while maintaining an excellence in academics. Coach McCormick is also building the exact same program at North Salem.
Both Coach Kirch and Coach McCormick believe in Youth Star's mission beyond the game of basketball. Our alignment to building young athletes with character, integrity, academic success and a team-first mentality has brought them onboard to help us not only build our player's athletic skills but to ingrain the importance of those life characteristics beyond just winning on the court.
We are thankful that these two excellent coaches have dedicated time from their busy schedule to help build our community.
